Economics research guide

This guide brings together library resources and popular web sites that can be used to understand economics or to find economic information and data.

Working papers

What are "working papers"?

Publications labeled as working papers can be thought of "research in progress."  These are preliminary findings that are not yet in their final version and that have not yet undergone peer review.  Still, these are interesting and may help you come up with your own research ideas.  Also, be sure to check the bibliography to see if you can find related published books and articles that would be useful in your own research.

National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER)

The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that facilitates cutting-edge investigation and analysis of major economic issues.  It publishes more than 1200 working papers each year.
