Find articles using databases

While the catalog is now linked to our databases so that you can identify articles on your topic in one search, sometimes the number of results makes it difficult to uncover the most relevant articles. For this reason, we continue to provide access to the databases as stand-alone services. Sometimes a database is a more precise way to identify articles on your topic.

All databases are accessible from our A-Z database page, but you can also select from a few databases that are well suited for literature research from the list below.

Academic Search Complete is an enormous collection of the most valuable peer-reviewed full text journals with a multidisciplinary focus. Over 3,000 journals are available with full-text. Abstracts without full-text are offered for articles published in over 8,000 journals.
Communication & Mass Media Complete This link opens in a new window
Communication & Mass Media Complete (CMMC) provides a robust collection of high-quality research in areas related to communication and mass media. More than 600 journals are scanned for content and full text is provided for more than 240 journals.

The premier database for researching the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present.
JSTOR Essential Collection This link opens in a new window
Full text online backfiles of core scholarly journals on many subjects. JSTOR's full-text coverage begins at the first issue of each journal and usually ends within five years of the present.
