Listed below are databases recommended for sports management research. Some are sports-focused, some are business-focused, and others are more general databases.

Not all articles in these databases will be in full text. However, if you are interested in the full text of the article, please reach out to a librarian and we can help find the full text in another database or suggest interlibrary loan.

Communication & Mass Media Complete (CMMC) provides a robust collection of high-quality research in areas related to communication and mass media. More than 600 journals are scanned for content and full text is provided for more than 240 journals.
Biological Science Collection This link opens in a new window
The Biological Science Collection provides comprehensive coverage of biological science fields including animal behavior, aquatic life and fisheries, biochemistry, ecology, plant science, toxicology, virology, and microbiology.. Full-text is available for some articles.

The Chronicle of Higher Education has the nation’s largest newsroom dedicated to covering the news and issues surrounding higher education.
Off-campus users MUST create an account at the "Sign In" link to access the Chronicle content. Use your BVU email address and a password of choice, then verify your account with a confirmation email from The Chronicle of Higher Education.
On-campus users need to create an account ONLY if access to features requiring sign-in is required (such as the newsletters).

Our Academic Site License provides full access to the New York Times, 1851-present. Access to the International New York Times and the New York Times in Chinese is also available. Users must register individually using a bvu.edu email address, which provides access for 364 days.
Wall Street Journal This link opens in a new window
The Wall Street Journal is known for its business journalism and its coverage of global markets, politics, world news, technology, arts and life. Articles from the last four years are available.

Academic Search Complete is an enormous collection of the most valuable peer-reviewed full text journals with a multidisciplinary focus. Over 3,000 journals are available with full-text. Abstracts without full-text are offered for articles published in over 8,000 journals.

WorldCat Discovery is an updated interface to search the WorldCat database. WorldCat allows you to search for articles, books, audio-visual materials, maps, musical scores, manuscripts, dissertations, and archival materials in electronic formats and in physical formats which are housed in libraries worldwide.
