Library Resources for Faculty

This guide includes information for faculty to use to more easily integrate library resources into their classes and some shortcuts to make your busy lives a little easier!

Doing Your Own Research

The library's electronic resources are available to you to search from your campus office or your home office 24/7.

The complete listing of all the databases BVU subscribes to are available on our A-Z Databases list.  You can narrow the list by subject, types of material covered, or database vendor.

Print materials can be held for you and picked up later. Use the "Place Hold" button in the Library catalog. You'll receive an email when the material is ready for pick up.  Academic Assistants (AAs) may pick up and check out items for you if you have completed a "proxy borrower" form.  See "Library Forms" tab to the left.

Interlibrary loan allows you to request copies of virtually anything that exists from other libraries.  See the Interlibrary Loan Services tab in the left column for more details.

Need help identifying the closest university with the materials you need?  WorldCat allows you to see what libraries have in their collections.
